Nice recap. Although earlier posts unfairly commented that you were too exuberant for NYU, you were correct. MIT will continue to exceed expectations. Any year-end predictions you want to make? I'm sure the readers will let you know if you're right or wrong. Haha. Fun reading. Thank you again.

Thanks for the comment. Yeah, the initial tip-off on NYU was just how much speed they retained coming into the season. The surprise is that their first-years are so good.

I don't know if I have any predictions at this point. How about you? From what you have seen so far, what are you expecting to see for the rest of the season?

Might do midseason awards if the holiday week permits - hand out SRS titles by class/graduation-year. Four on men's side, four on women's (combine grads with seniors).

Oh wait, here's a prediction. Kaley McIntyre will be the first repeat Swimmer of the Year since Brittany Sasser (Amherst) in 2008.

And on the men's side, going into nationals the top picks will look like Brayden Morford, David Bajwa, Max Nechydyuk, Cooper Costello, & Patrick Daly. Then Justin Finkel will make it interesting. And then Brayden Morford wins the first ever SOY for Carnegie-Mellon.

I was going to rely on your predictions since you're good at analyzing the swimmers and teams. Haha. On the men's side, I suppose I lean toward NYU given their strong and seasoned swimmers. I think MIT is interesting on the women's side, but may not have enough depth this year.
