If Kenyon wants to call the meet the "Total Performance" meet, each swimmer should also have to complete 6 dives, time their own swims, and make their own food (partially because the nearest restaurant to Gambier is only accessible by horse). Now that would be total performance.
The Phoenix Fall Classic is off to a fast start today! In prelims of the first event, women’s 500 Free, the top 5 finishers all touched the wall under last year’s NCAA invite time of 4:58.57!💪
I love seeing these stats, especially the SRS. But help me understand, how do the Emory women, coming off a 6th place NCAA finish, have such a commanding SRS lead on the field? Do you expect big swings after the taper meets this weekend?
I hate to break the news to you but Kristen Cornish isn’t on the JHU roster. When I talked to her at NCAAs in March (granted, a long time ago), she wasn’t sure if she would swim this year. She hasn’t posted any swims so far either.
Johns Hopkins was at the H2ounds Invitational at Loyola and Kristen was not there. Granted, she started late one other year because she was swimming at an international meet. And, perhaps she could swim 2nd semester. I guess time will tell.

This is actually pretty funny

Thanks, Ed. I’m really looking forward to looking at all this stuff when I’m finally home on Sunday
similar fireworks here at total performance and I know there’s plenty of other meets around the division that are gonna need some coverage.

Ah, I read these out of order…the week 6 round up article helps me understand…Emory women have some amazing freshman this year!
Yup
That astonishing first-year class is leading this early season blitz.
Still - as you point out - it's early. And we are about to see many of the other contending teams suit-up.

Will try to confirm, but for us that would be heartbreaking
